Rules

Eligibility
  • Must be a student currently enrolled at Lexington High School
  • Submissions must be original works (i.e., no arrangements) composed within the last 12 months
  • The submitted work or portion thereof (e.g., a movement of a larger piece) must not exceed 10 minutes in length
  • There are no restrictions as to genre or instrumentation
  • One submission per applicant​ per year

Prizes
Five finalists will be selected, each will receive a $200 prize and will work with local musicians/composers to revise and prepare their works for performance at LHS Awards Night and the Fundraising Concert the following weekend.
Schedule
1/1 -- Online Application Submission Opens
2/28 at 12am -- Online Applications Due
3/15 -- Finalists Announced 
March-April -- Finalists work one on one with local musicians
May -- Performance of submitted works at LHS Awards Night and Fundraising Concert
